SafetyPins.

Broken Dance

Flying grace.
Spinning time.
Art in slow motion.
She dances,
leaping through the barrier the confines her.

But on her toes,
for not to long.

She twists as her heart,
wrenched and dwelled in a moment.
A moment of overflowing emotion.

Seemingly.
Seemingly.

She crumbles,
giving way,
sliding on to the floor.
Crashing.

Her breath and sweat mixes
with the traces her feet left.

Intoxicating.

Broken.
You can't dance again.
She recalled.
Bitterly.

The picture on the wall is a lost cause.
A lost inspiration,
just a picture.
How can anyone dance like that.
Not her, no.
Not yet.

Standing at the end of her tether.
Her final move.
Piercing the end.
One last breath.
The pelican takes flight.
Twirl,
Twirling,
with all her might.

The world stops,
and envious eyes gaze upon her.
Finally she smiles.

She can dance again.
An endless spiral of passion,
drips,
from her lifeless body.
The world was never so perfect for her.
Never.
